This renovation transformed this 3-bedroom, one bath cottage with built-in veranda’s into an entertainer’s delight.
The demolition removed the lean to, with the enclosed veranda remaining. A waffle slab was laid at the rear which added 2.5 meters to the overall length of the building. This additional footprint allowed for a new modern kitchen, with a generous butler's pantry. A large open plan living dining room led off the kitchen with a new gas fireplace built into their existing passageway. The new laundry with separate powder room, and a fourth bedroom/ study completed the rooms in the addition. The original built-in veranda became a walk-in robe and ensuite for the master bedroom.
The main roof line extended out over the east facing outdoor area with a feature reclaimed brick wall to the carport laundry wall. Linea boards replace the old weatherboards on the exterior of the house and a new front door with sidelight and all new double-glazed windows completed the exterior component.
